so i need a job this summer, but i'm not sure where to apply. where do you guys work?

I work at my local library.

Whatever you do, don’t work at a fast food place. The **** you have to do is not worth minimum wage.

OK, so is a job REALLY that important for apps?

'Cuz here’s the thing… my parents won’t let me get a job. We’re upper middle class (about 200K a year), and so my parents say that it’s not fair for me to have a job when so many people in the current economy don’t have one. She wants me to “save the jobs for people who need them.”

And bunny, I’d suggest a Lifetime fitness if there’s one near you ($13/hour, they’re always hiring) or any fitness place I guess if Lifetime isn’t there.

That’s really considerate, but you do need the experience, so definitely get a job. I mean you don’t want to go out in the world without any sort of experience with interviews, or employment.
Besides, you probably should learn to take care of yourself, and start learning to pay for your own stuff, just so you don’t always have to rely on your parents to buy you stuff, you know what I mean?

Fast food or retail, everyone treats you well, and the pay is above average. Also, you get to know what you do really matters and affects people’s lives. Also the job market looks great for it, and you may eventually get a managerial position.

^LOL!!!

Well to the OP I am applying to gamestop and bestbuy

i umpire. best job ever with amazing pay too.

@anijay- try volunteer work, that looks good too and since its non paying no one is affected, you could also try non paid internships.

Anyway I work as a hostess in a restaurant

I found my job on craigslist you could try there.

Lifeguard
our parks department hires anyone that breathes. Yours might too.
