Jobs After College

Hi, first post, so I'll get right to the point: I'm a senior in High School living in Arizona. It was thought that most of the graduating seniors would attend ASU or the U of A, but really a lot are planning on going to NAU (Northern Arizona University). I've always wanted to go there to major in International Relations, I'm a good student here and have been notified that I would receive a full tuition scholarship, (just tuition though, I'd still have to pay for everything else). But I haven't heard anything about the academics up there, I want to go because it's a small town, and everyone is friendly. Its a safe school, unlike ASU's checkered past. Another thing about ASU is that there are sooo many students there, it feels like no one is really going to care about me personally. The U of A is a good school, but the location is so bland. Tuscon is in the middle of the desert, with nothing but mountains around it. Also, the tuition is much more than the other in-state schools. Basically, what I'm worried about is how well NAU would set me up for a career after graduation. My girlfriend wants to be an engineer, and is worried that, hypothetically, after graduation if she had an interview with Boeing they would look at the NAU diploma, and look at another applicant's ASU diploma and choose them over her. I'd like to have a good time at college, but would NAU really be worth it? I tell myself that I'm not going to have much debt so, I could get my masters at a better college after, or transfer after I get my associates degree, but is this not realistic? Help! :P
