<p>howz uiuc reputation in company circles and do they recruit alot from uiuc engineering ?</p>

<p>Out of all of the majors at U of I, engineering probably attracts the most attention in terms of job recruitment. Practically all of the major companies (Intel, GE, IBM, Boeing) and the major technical consulting firms (Accenture and Deloitte) recruit from U of I. </p>

<p>The major companies will heavily recruit anyone who performs well in U of I's engineering program, assuming the economy isn't in some kind of major recession. In fact, I think some engineering students are even able to find jobs with investment firms. </p>

<p>I was wondering that myself. I guess you would check with counselors of the various programs. I would like to know who to go to too if anyone knows.</p>
