A recent thread on this topic:

I was just about to post that as well, hmom5. :D

I'm thinking we should set up an intl college consulting firm and charge! How many invest a ton of money on the premise they can stay?

hmom: lol. Definitely a great idea.

Hmom5, I must appreciate your comments. I read most of your posts and since you are also in the teaching field and that too MBA's, the comments are very useful. Although the facts may seem negative to those who are 'hoping' to get optimistic remarks, this is true.

I have travelled widely with my dad to many countries as he is a diplomat with the UN and I am somewhat aware of the rules that each country has regarding foreign nationals. I think one should go to US to study and do well in their studies and see where life takes them after that. The link that you sent me was very useful.

Thanks a lot.

thanks to Talha_adnan too

hmom5's posts were a real eye-opener for me. I showed the thread to all my friends who applied to US universities! They had the same reaction. So, now we're all considering good universities in our home country.
