<p>Yes, engineering students at UVa also do very, very well when it comes to getting jobs. As sevmom noted, we do especially well in the DC area. Most graduates I know have gone on to work near DC after graduation. It’s not hard to get a job elsewhere, but DC seems like the default location (I’m not sure whether the primary reason for this is personal preference or recruiter concentration).</p>
<p>For what its worth, I really respect that you’re thinking about what comes after college. I have too many friends who went into school thinking “I’ll go to whatever college ‘feels right’, regardless of the cost”. In the past year, many of them have been smacked in the face by a combination of student debt and lack of job prospects.</p>
