Autonomy as in you don't have a boss, or if you do, one who does not really impact the decisions you make.
I can think of dentistry, and of course entrepreneurship as some career paths.
Does anyone have any others?
Thanks.

My husband and I met in graduate school - we are both structural engineers. We worked for other companies for about 13 years, then started our own consulting firm in 1999. We work for ourselves and love it! We can order whatever software, etc., we want. We can take off without having to ask. Of course, we also put in some very long days and weekends, but it’s worth it.
