What kinds of jobs best fit for me if I graduate with a economic degree instead of finance? Also, what are the differences between economic and finance major?

To add to your question: what jobs would be available for someone who double majors in business economics and finance?

It seems a bit premature, but for information such as this, I would go to a bank’s, corporation’s, etc. HR/Career website and search for entry-level positions. Check out what the requirements are and whatnot. Some listings for entry-level positions will tell you what majors they are interested (marketing, finance, accounting, economics, etc.)

For example, here’s a bank that is pretty big in the Southeast – BB&T. Take a look at their available jobs. Most entry-level positions list majors.

Be creative and crafty, you guys. This information is fairly easy to find if you know where to look. ;)

Economics deals with the economy as a whole, where as finance/accounting deal on a more personal level with individual people/firms.

Usually they compete for the same jobs, and the best ones would probably go to the business school students if the college has one, otherwise the top econ programs.
