Jobs for "engineering management" degree

What types of jobs can I get with a degree in "engineering management"? I already have a technical master's degree in engineering and was wondering if a master's degree "engineering management" would be helpful. From what I've seen at tech companies, most engineering managers have BS/MS degrees in a technical field and don't have an MBA/engineering management degree.

If I can become a manager without one, why do people pursue this degree?

Are there certain jobs that require an "engineering management" degree?

It is certainly not a requirment for managment positions in technical companies, but it helps if that is where you want take your career. Many times, people who are good on the technical side are promoted into management without any business background and have to learn “on the job”.

What schools are you considering?
