Any good job suggestions/ideas for a future college freshman (at Harvard) this fall?

I know it's really late to start looking-- a last minute change of plans has forced me to stay in in the country (in Atlanta), but now I'm really scrambling to apply for jobs out there with little luck. Anyone have good places to work or ideas? I'm want to go into finance but realistically there's no chance of me getting an internship now, so I'm pretty open to all fields right now except for the service (fast-food, cashier, etc) industry. Thanks bunches!

Most people in college work in the service industry. How’s you’re resume? Do you have experience in anything? Have you had a job before?

I’m sorry to say, but finding anything other than service jobs is slim, especially if you haven’t had a job before. You could get on craigslist and offer tutoring if you’re good in a particular subject. Some schools offer tutoring programs (but they’re usually for upper classmen). You could try applying at a tutoring company (like Kumon, mathnasium).

In all honesty, you’d probably make more money at a service job than offering up tutoring. Also, in the service industry you can move up in the industry while you’re in school and make more money.

The economy is suffering right now. I have a degree and can’t even find a job. Good luck! :)
