Is it really hard to get a job on campus at USC if you don't have work-study and if so, what jobs, if any, are available to non-work study students? Also, is it still worth going to the job fair they hold in August too? I heard at orientation that it is mostly for work-study students. Thanks for any input in advance!

It is true you will be at a slight disadvantage by not having work study as many positions are either ONLY work study or have priority for WS students.

However, many jobs on campus are open to all students. If you are open about what kind of jobs you can apply for, I am sure you will find something. I would definitely recommend attending the job fair as it is for both WS and non-WS jobs on campus.

I know that USC ReadersPlus accepts non-WS students, and I believe Campus Cruiser does, too. (But I also know that CC likes hiring WS students first.)

If you’ve got a couple hours open at lunchtime a couple days a week, apply at the University Club. It’s the really nice restaurant on campus that hires students as waiters.

That’s pretty cool that there is a restaurant that you can work at. Do you know how it is hawkwings, I mean if it’s, do you know if it’s usually a busy restaurant or if it is very competitive to get a job there?

It’s a nice restaurant that serves all the rich and important people at USC. Working lunchtime, as all students do, is a little less formal. They also cater for events around campus. Usually they have positions open up at the beginning of each semester, and people graduate or their schedules change.
