So, I think I want to get a job eventually next year at Michigan, but I'm not sure if I should apply soon or wait until a little later in the school year, like in november or something to get used to college lifefirst. Will all of the good jobs (a.k.a. the unviersity sponsored ones like the cafeterias) be filled up if I wait too long or are they pretty much hiring all the time? Also, what jobs do you recommend? Thanks!

RA–free room and board and free food, best of all, you don’t have to serve food (although you have to deal with people’s complaints but you still get your own room)–However its usually for upperclassmen

yeah, the RA thing sounds awesome, but i’m going to be a freshman next year…

What kinds of jobs are there? I’m going to be a freshman this fall but I want to work just so that I can earn a little pocket money but I have no idea what kind of jobs there are…

Get a job in at the retail dining locations, (victors, blue apple, hideaway, etc). You can pick up as many hours as you want, even just one shift a week if you want and there’s no experience needed.
