So, I need a job. Senior Slump is going quite well, and I'll have an awful lot of free time afternoons and weekends after hockey season ends. Does anyone here have a job? Does anyone here have a job they really like? The movie theater or ice cream store is just so unappealing to me. I was wondering if there were any genres of work I just hadn't thought of yet.

work the streetcorners for some cold hard cash... jk

usually you just take the job that is hiring. rarely have i had a choice at where to work. work is hard, but money is money and when you need it, you won't mind the work.

I you can get jobs from your parents that works well. I run a sale on luggage once in a while and make pretty good commision.

I'm a lifeguard, but I'll be so busy this summer that I'll only get about a $700 paycheck for the entire summer.

I babysit a lot - $$ is good, hours are flexible, job is lots of fun most of the time. So I would recommend that.

camp counselor in the summer. $6.50 an hour/5 hour day/5 days a week= $300 odd dollars every two weeks= $1200 odd dollars for eight weeks= easy summer job and easy money for you. iT's what I've been doing for the last two summers and will continue to do this summer, in addition to my paid internship for a local newspaper.

I work at a gym but I've been working all year... flexible hours, clean environment, mature/professional clients, good money, AND commission. I also proof read stuff for my dad's company and I make mucho money for that but its so boring and it's not really a "job". I mean, his company acknowledges that I do it and I get a paycheck from them but I'm not too into the whole work at home thing. I think I'll probably just do this over the summer and not work at the gym but I'm not really sure. This is my last summer before college and I'm not sure if I want to spend it locked in a dull warehouse(ie gym). We'll see...

I'm not sure if all school systems do this, but high school juniors and seniors are able to work during summer school with middle/high school kids... its not always failure type situations but enrichment stuff too. Alot of my friends have done this and have enjoyed it... decent pay, too.

I used to be a part-time teller. It's rather involved, and difficult part-time because you need to do it a lot in order to not make mistakes. But the pay is good, and the stuff you learn is pretty useful.

Before that I was a page at a library for a brief time. Easy, but boring job.
