Can freshmen students live in tuolumne apartment?? i really want a double but not sharing a bathroom with 10+ people..i thought tuolumne would be nice but it seems to be too nice for freshmen:(

p.s. we start choosing our roomies and other housing preferences after submitting SIR right? does that mean i should submit it asap?

the chances of a freshman getting a spot in the apartments are verrry slim. my friend lived in one her freshman year but only because she was a winter admit and one of the girls who had been living in that apartment moved out. you should bank on living in tioga or tenaya.

and honestly, sharing a bathroom with that many people isn’t that bad. my suite has 9 people in it total and there was literally only one time that i wanted to take a shower but couldn’t because both of them were taken, and even then i only had to wait 10 minutes for one to free up. everyone’s schedules vary enough so that sharing the bathroom with them isn’t a problem. if you’re worried about the cleanliness or whatever, the bathrooms are cleaned every day and so after you figure out what time the custodian comes by, just plan your showers accordingly.

i think there is a housing application you can submit even before you submit your SIR. it doesn’t ask you any questions about your living preferences - it just secures your spot in wanting to live on-campus. but you really want to turn that in like RIGHT NOW because the earlier you submit, the better your chances are of getting the building/floor/number of roommates that you want. and then way later there will be another form you fill out that asks you for all those details.
