Johns Hopkins Acceptees with a mediocre-low stats?!

Hi! I’m a junior looking to apply ED to JHU this fall since it’s been my dream college forever.
But my stats are relatively low compared to the “average” stats of those who got into JHU. I do recognize that JHU is an amazing school and extremely hard to get in but I would like to get some tips that would increase my chance of getting in even by one percent by some of you guys who were lucky enough to get in even though their grades were not straight A’s.
GIve me some hope!

Thanks!!

How low are we talking? It’s hard to give usable advice without knowing where you’re coming from.

Average for Hopkins would be
GPA: 3.8 UW
SAT/ACT: 1500 or 34
SAT Subject Test in Science(Chem, Physics, BioM) + MathII: 750 or higher

Personally, I’ve met some people with low test scores who gave compelling stories in their essays, but they all had very high GPAs.

Your stats are not low at all. The key is for you to apply ED if JHU is your absolute top choice. I know 2 students w much lower stats than you that got in last year. One girl got in with a 33 ACT superscore (took the ACT 4 times - highest single-sitting was a 32) and a 3.73 unweighted GPA and another one got in with a 34 single-sitting and 3.8 unweighted GPA.
