I'm out of state and want to apply for Bio as my major.

Very, very decent chances. That’s neither too good, nor too bad. ECs are decent, I guess, if you can make them seem significant enough for yourself, and the ACT score is alright. The unweighted GPA is sort of low though, so that might bring down your chances by quite a bit. Just give it your best shot, and good luck!

Bio is a very competitive major at JHU, your UW GPA seems like it’s probably a little bit too low, and it hurts your chances. Perhaps the college will appreciate your course rigor, but the 3.57 may hold you back. Your ECs also seem a little bit light on the leadership positions - were you team captain, president, VP, etc? ACT is average, right in the 50th percentile. Hopefully, you’re writing some stand-out essays.

You seem like a decidedly average applicant (only by JHU standards, obv), but Johns Hopkins gets inundated with a lot of applicants every year with decidedly un-average stats. I’d put you JHU as a low reach for you, but there’s still a decent chance. Don’t give up hope!

Your UW GPA is lower, but obviously you have taken a rigorous course load. Your AP/ACT scores aren’t fantastic, but you have decent ECs. Just make sure your essays are good, and you’ll be fine
