Hey,

Do you think ACT scores and SAT subject Scores alone are enough for JHU. Is SAT 1 definitely needed?

Thanks

@Anouchi

Hey, I’m currently Hopkins sophomore, and you’re right, the research and shadowing opportunities are amazing and plentiful. In addition, I’m part of the Woodrow Wilson Research Fellowship, which gives grants to students to pursue research in WHATEVER THEY WANT. You get a maximum of $10,000 over a course of 4 years ($2500/year). The group is more like a club, as we have meetings and outings. You have to apply at the same time that you apply to Hopkins, and the last time I checked they accept about 15-20 students get accepted each year. You should apply!!

@ Suarez - JHU requires SAT I or ACT w/ Writing. SAT subjects are optional.

SAT subjects are options, but strongly encouraged. They are required for engineering applicants. The following is from the JHU website:

Standardized Test Requirements

Freshman Applicants
The SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with Writing Test is required. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit up to three SAT subject tests.

Applicants interested in an engineering major should submit scores from the Mathematics Level 2 SAT subject test and at least one science SAT subject test.
