Johns Hopkins Class of 2019 RD Applicants!!

From JHU, asked my son to apply the Woodrow Wilson Research Fellowship, I was wondering if it’s a good sign, or everyone got it in Jan.

@studycollege I got the email!!

No email for us. What’s the email says

Was dated jan 13. They wouldn’t have looked over everyone’s application by that time. So, everyone probably got it or just the people who marked that they would apply for the fellowship on the common app.

That make a sense, thank you @hagzzz

Oh if that’s the email you’re talking about then I got that back in January as well

I never got that. OH edit: I applied engineering.

Oh, I see, thank you!

Did you guys get the financial aid email?

@arabm2 Was it sent today? If so I haven’t received anything…

@fizzy110‌ Nope, it was sent back in Feb.

Got rejected from Northeastern…now I wonder if I have even a small chance with Johns Hopkins.

@arabm2, Yup I got that email - I also got the fellowship one!

@fizzy110 These emails are sent to ALL applicants, right?

I love the way JHU says in its emails that they are sent to all applicants. It makes me think they monitor cc and understand how kids search for tea leaves to read.

@arabm2 Yup they get sent to everyone!

@barca03 Have faith! You’ll get into where you belong. I know this all sounds like a bunch of sissy talk right now, but it has to be said. You’re awesome, and you must have thought that of yourself at some point to apply to such awesome universities. You owe it to yourself to continue believing in your own awesomeness. You owe it to every compliment you have ever received to never stop believing in your capabilities. Even if you don’t end up at your ideal, best of the best choice this fall, then remember that a candle only burns brighter in a darker setting.

Never stop believing in your ability to succeed, that way you’ll never fail

i didnt get one

For those of you worried, I seriously doubt the “The Woodrow Wilson Undergraduate Research Fellowship” email has any correlation with admissions. I received the email on 1/13 and had submitted my application on 1/4. Unless the adcoms are super-humanly fast at reading I think the email is a generic one.

Yeah, I’m honestly tiered of all this pre-decision date speculation - it’s not fair. The email has nothing to do with our likelihood of admissions. Only whatever we hear on the 27th counts.
