Johns Hopkins Class of 2020 RD Forum

Oh my god twenty more minutes I can’t breathe holy crap

@Cestlavie1919 Personally: yeah. I’d rather just receive a definite decision rather than having to wait even longer for closure

@Cestlavie Yes…Ive already been waitlisted at Georgia Tech so I don’t want another one!

@Cestlavie1919 yea because i want to go there

Does anyone know what JHU’s yield rate is? is it pretty low?

I might cry im so nervous

Ahhhh I’m so scared too

Anyone have any helpful pre-decision voodoo rituals?

@leobabytiger JHU doesn’t take major into consideration unless you applied for BME
@yeah123yeah everything I’ve seen and read implies that there is no distinction between engineering and A&S (though if you show a passion for your indicated first choice major that’s definitely a plus).

I need someone to hold my hand. Pls

I regret applying :frowning: with my stats I didn’t stand a chance but I just wanted to apply cause I loved the school so much and now I’ll get a rejection and be heartbroken and I can’t and AGKJSBNGORNW<GNO

@itsesthery 2019 yield rate was 40%

I have the rejection pack all set here:

Bunch of tissues CHECK
Chocolate cookies CHECK
Sad song CHECK
Stress ball CHECK

All set…now only awaiting decisions :’(

OMFG i forgot to buy cookies and ice cream ohnooooo

While we’re waiting for around 15 more minutes, let’s discuss what we wrote about in our supplement?

I wrote about my passion for finding alien intelligence.

@LexieA hey, i didn’t get into my dream school ED, but i’m still happy i applied. if you hadn’t, you would’ve spent forever wondering. besides, there’s still a good chance that you get in – stats aren’t everything!

i wrote about justice and activism

@Hatscatshatscats if you’re not an international applicant, financial aid shouldn’t affect your decision.

now that we’re about 15 minutes away I kind of regret applying too. could’ve saved myself some pain and disappointment

@WaywardVagabond I wrote about how I wanted to research in space travel
