Johns Hopkins Early Decision/ UCs/Low Ivies Chances?

Do I have a chance? I know it is a 50% ED chance but my EC's are a bit lackluster... I want to major in Bio

Test Scores:

SAT (totals from two tests, 2190 and 2230 with high scores per section below):

GPA:
Freshmen- 4.67
Sophomore- 4.33 (cumulative 4.48)

Overall (weighted)- 4.62
Overall (unweighted)- 3.85

Class Rank (as of 2nd semester of junior year, probably still the same): 9/687 (1.3%)

Difficulty of Classes-Most difficult classes offered at school (no joke), Full IB Diploma Candidate with AP tests thrown in for good measure...

Freshman Year: all honors/IB except PE and Spanish (Spanish is regular at my school unless it is AP spanish)
Sophmore year: AP Euro (4), All other classes were honors/IB except for PE and spanish again
Junior Year: APUSH-5, AP Calculus (BC)-5, AP Chem-4, AP Spanish-4, IB Language Arts, IB Art and Design
Senior Year: AP/IB Bio, IB Language Arts HL, IB Math HL, Honors Physics 1 (lol), AP Comp. Sciences AB, IB 20th Century Comparative World Geo

National AP Scholar, Honor Roll, all that good stuff

Random Demographics:
Citizen of India (lived here since I was 5... MONTHS lol)
First Generation to Attend college in the US (if that matterz?)
Mixed Indian/Middle Eastern heritage
Parents are... a doctor and an engineer... yeah thats not exactly helpful....

AND heres where the fail starts....
Extra Curriculars:

President of Science club in 8th grade (do they care about middle school?)

Student Representative to Middle Schools' School Site Council in 8th grade (basically we managed the budget of the school, if only this had been in high school though eh? lol)....

Participated in MESA in 9th and 12th grades ( wanted to do it in 11th too but the idiot teacher didn't sign approve my app since he thought I wasn't doing it)-won 1st in team math and 3rd in trebuchet at local level, 3rd in team math at regional level (I Swear it was rigged!)

Made science fair projects all years but never made it past district (Had out of country things to do during winter break first two years, teacher hated me third year, those are my excuses...)

Made a FAIL history day project and lost at district in 9th grade....

Volunteered at a tutoring place at the library for over 100 hours (but this was required for IB, not sure if it matters because of that)

Did FBLA Junior year and got 3rd place in Cyber Security and 2nd in Computer Problem Solving at regional level, declined to go to state because it was the week before AP testing and I THOUGHT I would be studying.... I ended up saying screw AP tests I'll get what I get because I was so frustrated (though my scores don't show it, so the colleges don't have to know amirite wink)

Umm.... Did Mock Trial Junior year (it started at my school in my sophomore year but I didn't do it that one year because I was retarded, I did really well in Junior year though and was promised an excellent letter for it, but still was not chosen for a Captain... doz ma letter sho komitmentz?

Have been working at a doctor's office since 2007 and have worked for over what... 500 hours? Aside from the fact that the office belongs to my mother... Could she write me a letter as an employer? I mean come on, I'm like the IT guy here...NO JOKE.

Volunteering at the hospital (wanted to start after sophomore year, ride problems delayed that to the end of junior year) and assume I can put in around 100 hours by Nov 1....

Volunteering at a nursing Home, did around 20 hours right before Junior year, then ride problems, then started up again after junior year (I could only come here during the summer since its near my mom's workplace) and assume I can put in another 100 hours by Nov 1.....

Im going to start a club at school, (religious based, so it might count for less then?) But I can't start it till school starts again, so I'll only have had it running for 2 months before Early Applications and 4 for regular.....

Used to be very involved in the local church, got a little less involved during school, trying to get back to being involved with managing a youth group for 5th-8th grade kids (this is pretty likely to happen) and I used to help out a lot, so I could probably get a good letter from there, If colleges care about religious groups.....

I DO want to focus on a passion for medicine that has developed in me over the course of many years spent with my mother and seeing everything about a doctor's life, but I'm not sure that a couple hours at the hospital and in the office really communicated that... DANG i wish id done red cross... for example when I was in elemeentary school and my mother was doin her residency and she would be on call, I would often stay in the hospital with her, and most of my summer were spent at the office (Ive been helping her out since before 2007, but I couldnt really legally get paid till I was 14) and goin with her to the hospital, watching her see patients, yadayadayada, meeting doctors in the lounge at lunch, and etc. you get the point....

NO sports since I have pretty bad asthma (trust me, 4 years in the city basketball league before high school and NOT A SINGLE point scored is pretty depressing....

No my lack of EC's doesnt mean I spend all my time studying. On the contrary....I waste most of my time on Online games and other pointless crap like that (though I would never say I am addicted.... I walked away from games altogether for a month before Junior year, though it was because I majorly procrastinated on my summer homework before junior year and had to finish it lol). But I do have a life. The games are just for when I'm not hanging out ;).

Other hobbies: umm... Computers? Technology in general? Baseball and football even though I fail too bad to play on a team?

Prolly forgetting something here, seeing as I just pulled this list out of nowhere with no premeditation (I just listed everything I could think of)

Assume I get good letters from teachers, have a good essay (im paying money to improve my essays, they better be good!), and I go in for an interview and the interview is decent, do I have a shot at getting in?

And if you know, here are some other colleges I would consider
UCR
UCI
UCSD
UCLA
Brown
Cornell
Columbia
University of Pennsylvania
Princeton (?)
Northwestern
Johns Hopkins

Direct Med? (lol not gunna happen but w/e might as well ask)
UCSD
USC
Any Direct Med at a Decent College

*national AP scholar with distinction that is

*ap scholar with distinction, not national

UCR - safety
UCI - safety
UCSD - safety
UCLA - match/safety
Brown - reach
Cornell - low reach
Columbia - reach
University of Pennsylvania - reach
Princeton (?) - reach
Northwestern - match/high match
Johns Hopkins - reach

Numbers, such as SATs and GPAs, are decent, but note that most applicants to the institutions that you are considering will have similar statistics. For example, there are thousands upon thousands of valedictorians all over the world, thousands who score perfect scores on the SATIIs, hundreds with 2400, etc.

Therefore, something that must set you apart from these schools are your ECs, which you’ve already said are “fail.” To answer your questions as honestly as possible:

1) No, being a first generation college student in America will not help you.
2) No, admissions don’t care of what you did in middle school

UCR-In
UCI-In
UCSD-Match
UCLA-High Match
Brown-High Reach
Cornell-Mid Reach
Columbia-High Reach
University of Pennsylvania-High Reach
Princeton-High Reach
Northwestern-Low/Mid Reach
Johns Hopkins-Low/Mid Reach

So both of you think its easier to get into UCLA regular than JHU Early? o.O?

Considering that UCLA is in-state public and JHU is a private… yes?

well I would think that until I saw the percentages (20% for LA, 50% for ED hopkins) but I guess you do have a point…
