35 more hrs!!!

Hi AdmissionsDaniel
what are our options if we are indeed deferred??
should we send a “letter of continued interest” that many people talk about doing, or should we just send in an update of our grades and major accomplishments and awards that we have recently won?

Ahhhh. I’m not sleeping tonight…

All of our fates are likely sealed by now. It is now a mere matter of time.

Ah…it all comes down tomorrow at 7…what I’m suppose to do till then???

I’m looking at every college site other than JHU’s for now so if I do get rejected, the crash won’t be as devastating. Hopefully it won’t come down to me being sent off to my safeties but I still need to maintain excitement for my RD schools.

~ 27 hrs left

Where will you guys be at 12/15 at 7 pm? I’ll luckily be home so I can check it at the exact time.

Tomorrow will be the slowest day of my life. I’m going to spend it looking at other colleges, so I’ll feel like I have something to look forward to after I’m rejected.

@ nevergiveup, if you look back a page or two, I believe Admissions Daniel mentions that you should just sit tight if you get deferred, and he will have updates on what you should do on Hopkins Insider a few days from 12/15.

@ kid1992 LOL You make the decisions seem so foreboding. And I totally agree, I’m trying to ignore Hopkins for a while in case of rejection. I was reading the Hopkins Insider ED Update, and there was a picture of the campus with snow. I’d been trying for 2 months to ignore everything JHU, but that one pic devastated me. Argh.

@ gtgen, same here, except I’m saving up the last episode of a Korean Drama so I can watch it after I get rejected. Woohoo, exit strategies! If only we could’ve shared our info with Bush…

are they a test score school, an extra curricular school? gpa school? and what are the ED accepatance rates?

@akrolik: JHU looks at everything; it’s not like a state school that only looks at numbers. They value everything holistically.

And the ED admissions rate is usually around 50%.

25 hours!

'Twas the night before decision day, and through every jhu applicants house, the kids were bouncing off the walls, like a cat after a mouse.

(Less than) 24 hours…

Half of me is real nervous because I loved JHU and I really want to go there, but the other half of me is telling myself I got denied but that it doesn’t matter. That way if I do make it in I will be happily surprised…I can’t wait.

Good luck.

I’m at the point where I’m trying to convince myself that I didn’t get in, because I feel like then it will hurt less if I get deferred or rejected. It’s hard to imagine that at this time tomorrow we’ll have our decisions!!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!! =)

Word, there’s no way I’m getting in. Seriously. I’d be happy with a deferral.

I agree joejoejim and madchuckd. I have this feeling I’m going to get at most a deferral, which is fine with me. I like the other schools I’m applying to anyways. Though, this past month I’ve been prepping myself for that deferral/rejection email. Haha.

Good luck to everyone!

If it is an acceptance email, then I will probably think : ''They probably made a mistake by sending out an acceptance email to a person who got rejected like me. They will send me back a rejection/deferral email later."

Answering some more questions:
We do not have separate admissions stats for international applicants versus domestic applicants. All applicants are reviewed the same way and held to the same standards. For students where English is a second language, that will be factored in, but there are not separate admissions datat for such applicants.

Be patient with these questions … I will post information on the Hopkins Insider blog and Hopkins Forums later this week for deferred students. It will provide advice and answers to frequently asked questions.

That’s it for me on this discussion thread. Good luck to all the Early Decision applicants.

Please note that I will not be returning to College Confidential for the next week. After the release of decisions my time is spent on Hopkins-oriented forms of communication … namely:

The Hopkins Insider blog: [Hopkins Insider](http://hopkins.typepad.com/)
Hopkins Forums: [Hopkins Forums](<a href=“Leak nudes - The Home Of The Sexiest Thots, Nipple Slips, Bikini Pictures, Nude Streamers From Patreon, Onlyfans And Much More!”>Leak nudes - The Home Of The Sexiest Thots, Nipple Slips, Bikini Pictures, Nude Streamers From Patreon, Onlyfans And Much More!)

If you have questions, you will get a much quicker answer from me (and a group of amazing current students) if you ask them there and not here at College Confidential.
