Johns Hopkins ED Applicants Thread

I am just speculating since AD only said the booklet doesn’t indicate anything, but he did not mention anything about the Stress e-mail.

Stress e-mail o.O? (I never got one) AdmissionsDaniels twitter says that he began reading applications after the Nov. 20th date that the stress e-mails were sent out.

what exactly was the text of this “stress email”? like an0nimity, i never got one.

I got one e-mail that said “Thank you for submitting your application to Johns Hopkins University. We are processing your application materials and will contact you if anything is missing from your file.” But that’s it. Hoping what Professor101 said isn’t true.

An0nimity: yeah, i got the same one on 10/26, about a week after i submitted my application. i’m pretty sure the stress email thing is bs…i highly doubt any school would give even a very oblique hint to applicants about whether they’re accepted or not.

The NS email was just sent if you signed up for the mailing list. I got it too, but if you see on the bottom it says “Click here to be removed from our mailing list” so it was just a little ad basically.

Yeah I don’t think many people (if any) got a stress e-mail and if they did I doubt its a sign that they are in considering I just looked through AdmissionsDaniel’s twitter again and he didn’t start reviewing applications until after the 20th.

EDIT: Just read kid1992’s post and thanks for clearing that up.

Just wondering, what majors / schools are you guys applying to at Hopkins?

BME here.

Poli Sci, and possibly minoring in Anthropology.

neuroscience (1st choice) psychology (2nd choice)

Biology. Gotta love it. :)

Math…

Biology or International Studies with Pre-med.

Undeclared (but I did hint at neuro a bit)

Neuroscience

okk i’m going to start counting down =)

Double-major in Chemistry and Physics, with a minor in Biology.

Awesome. I’m sort of Undecided, but I think I want to do Physics. Maybe a minor in Poli Sci, IR or Writing Seminars? There’s just so much stuff to choose from.
