Hi guys, I know that there has been this discussion before but I wanted to clarify…
So does Johns Hopkins include your HS Freshmen year GPA in their gpa calculation? I understand that they DO look at your freshmen gpa but I wasn’t sure if they actually use it for calculation.

I did read in past discussions that Jhu does not calculate ur freshmen year gpa. But when I emailed jhu i got this response:
We incorporate all final grades from 9/10/11/12(first quarter) to figure the GPA. We also use an unweighted GPA ,therefore if yours is “weighted” we will unweight and form a new GPA.

Any ideas?

Always go with what the source tells you. If JHU told you that they incorporate freshman year grades into the GPA calculation (which they did), then you have your answer. Nobody’s opinion here will change the official word.
