johns hopkins or cornell?

which school is harder to get accepted, johns hopkins or cornell?

this question is meaningless in the grand scheme of things, i hope you realize that.

why is it meaning less?
isnt there always something to tell how a school is harder to get into compared to other schools? every university has their own selectivity levels.
for example, it is almost obvious that MIT is harder to get accepted than getting accepted to UCLA

for practical purposes, hopkins and cornell are about the same. you can break out SAT ranges and admissions percentages, but the difference is negligible. you should focus on which school fits your interests.

pretty much equal, statistically speaking. good luck :)

Both are very similar in terms of selectivity. However, Hopkins and Cornell conducts admissions differently. Hopkins puts more emphasis on essays, recommendations, EC's, work experience, and talent; but Cornell puts more emphasis on grades and test scores.

^^ according to whom?

According to me.

glad you're so qualified to make that differentiation.

great argument going on here guys! ha! :)

Actually...my point is very true. If you look into the way both schools conduct admissions, you will see that Cornell puts more emphasis on grades/test scores and JHU will look at the other stuff more.
