I based my entire “why JHU” essay on the DMP program. Now I’m not sure if that was the wrong direction
I’m a current student and only know one person in the DMP program, but I wouldn’t necessarily lose hope because of that — honestly, almost every Hopkins kid I know, myself included, thought they were admitted on accident and didn’t ‘deserve’ to get in, so expect the unexpected, I suppose
If you’re really worried, I can ask my friend in the program if he knows about how many people are in it
That would be very kind of you! Thanks
I did DMP for international relations and based my essay on that too I would hate to have wasted my essay on something I wouldnt get into
I hope we both get in :’) ahh im so nervous
Admission checklist has gone on the portal and only financial aid checklist is visible. Is this different for me or same for everyone?
It’s been like that for a few days
Are you sure? Yesterday when I checked, checklist was there. Dunno what is happening…
lol wait I’m dumb. The changed happened yesterday afternoon.
Oh… Thanks for an update
Do you know maybe how many students are admitted to RD? Thank you :))
@pecurkicaaaa JHU has accepted 520 students for ED1, and 304 for ED2, so I guess they will accept less than 2.000 students for RD.
Do you know how many students applied for RD?
@OSU95 I think at least 30.000 students. I am figuring out based on previous years. I am not 100% positive.
@OSU95 The Class of 2024 was selected from an applicant pool of 27,256 and, for ED, there was an increase in 11% in the number of applicants, compared to the previous year.
Do you have a link for the BME direct admit info?
Here’s a quote from the bme department site:
Each application to the University is carefully reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The admissions committee is interested in students who have challenged themselves academically and have demonstrated that they have the determination, dedication, and commitment to impact the world in which they live.
Students must indicate BME as their first-choice major on their application. Students are admitted specifically into the BME major based on evaluation of credentials and space available. Students can be admitted to the University without acceptance to the BME major. No separate application is required.
Notification of acceptance into the BME major is given at the time of decision notification.
Students who wish to transfer to the University from other academic institutions are not eligible for transfer into the BME major. We encourage transfer applicants to review the other bioengineering program options that are available.
Thank you much!
Has anyone not gotten an email yet about the decision release instructions and setting up the applicant portal?
