Omg I got in what the freaking heck.

Is there a results thread?

Yo sorry this is late but I was ACCEPTED!!!
Someone make a results thread for RD
Just did @n2theoah
This has been on my mind lately…do yall think that because I was rejected to JHU, it indicates that I dont stand a chance for the Ivies? Ik it is about fit and other factors, but I cant help but feel like it could be an indication. Hppefully there are people out there who were rejected to jhu but accepted to some ivies to give me some hope
accepted!!
Accepted!!

@yayaylearner , I don’t think it means that at all. I’ve heard of kids rejected from Georgetown who got into Harvard. You really just never know what a school is looking for and the word “holistic” is often irritating but I wouldn’t count you out by a long shot if you have strong stats and a solid application.
Also, I did the math and JHU’s acceptance rate this year was 9.9%. It was even less for RD. Those are some crazy numbers…even more selective than some Ivies. You are all going to be successful at whatever lucky school gets you to enroll.
Good luck!
@yayaylearner I think decisions can really be random sometimes. I just got waitlisted at Georgia Tech (~25% acceptance) but got into JHU so
D was rejected.
Just checked…got accepted BME!!! I’m still in shock. This process has been really tough on me, so seeing my hard work pay off truly feels amazing
Waitlisted but tbh I’m incredibly grateful I wasn’t rejected outright. There’s a small sliver of hope. Congrats to those accepted, to those rejected keep your heads up, and fellow waitlisted applicants-start falling in Love with another school or pray really hard lol
@yaboymarc Same here!
DS waitlisted - 1580 SAT 790/790 - SAT II 800 Math II 800 Bio - National Merit Finalist - Trumpet player - tons of EC, leadership positions,. all 4s/5s on APs/most rigorous schedule available at the school
- Waitlisted from WashU too.
Sigh
What do these colleges want to see??
I’m asking myself the same question. You should be extremely proud of your accomplishments. My son was rejected with great scores, GPA, extra curriculars, etc.
Denied to International Relations
SAT: 1550 (800 english, 750 math)
GPA: 4.3, UW: 3.8
Strong essays and EC’s
Results thus far: Accepted to UVA (OOS), U Mich (OOS), BU, Northeastern (Merit scholarship), and UCSD (in-state). Denied ED by Penn, Johns Hopkins, and UCLA. Waitlisted at Wash U St. Louis
How can you be denied ED at 3 places? You are only allowed to apply ED to one school (since it is binding??)
