Johns Hopkins RD Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

Tbh I think that fact that many applicants who REQUESTED interviews did not recieve them reflects poorly on them, not the applicants. It shows that their local alumni clubs aren’t big/organized enough to give applicants interviews.

Interviews seem to be rare in Hopkins’ admission process. I also filled out the request form but never got a response.

By the way, I’m doing another round of promotion of my countdown timer: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/to?msg=Johns%20Hopkins%20University%20RD%20Release&p0=419&year=2018&month=3&day=16&hour=15&min=0&sec=0&fromtheme=generic

I’m so not ready for my rejection tomorrow lol

lmao I live an hour away from Baltimore and requested an interview and didn’t get one

Me @edszebra

Gosh idk why that made me laugh @billybobby54

hey y’all!! first time posting on this thread but SUPER scared for decisions tomorrow… lol it comes out at the same period as my math test so you can imagine how that’ll go

To all who are worried about not getting an interview, don’t be! I requested and was fortunate enough to get one, that being said, the interviewer told me it was not really used in the admissions decision. He said that it was very informal and it was more for me to learn about the school. He only had two questions that he was required to ask and report back about, everything else was up to him. We are one day away!!!

I have school off tomorrow, so I don’t even have anything to distract myself with all day :frowning: So nervous!

I can back up what RonaldDream told me. I was also fortunate enough to receive an interview, but she told me JHU interviews dont mean much at all. So dont worry to those who didnt receive one

Im thankfully on March Break right now so I bet I am going to be studying/chilling when I open my decision. >:D<

Hopkins officially comes out tomorrow at 3pm

Just got an email

Decision reminder email just received too.

is it a good sign if they sent me an email about two weeks ago saying that I did not turn in a fin aid form or is that normal?

I have an incoming USPS package from the DC area (i know it’s in maryland), but I don’t think we would have anything else coming from DC…does JHU sent out acceptance packages

@dirtroadanthem did you indicate anywhere that you would want aid and just didn’t turn it in? I don’t think they would notify every admitted person that didn’t turn in a form that they didn’t turn in a form. I wouldn’t read much into it:)

Btw i know it’s not super close, but that’s just me wishfully thinking, haha

@Ashtash did you see USPS informed delivery just like WUSTL?

how much value/emphasis does jhu place on applicants having research experience in high school? would not having it mean that you have no chance? does having experience give you a big boost?
