@Rojahne I didn’t realize that I hadn’t sent in a copy of my W-2 forms but then jhu emailed me 2 days ago asking for it
@jennifermouse @HuangoBango Was it a request through IDOC? I never received any requests. Now I’m scared
Hopkins is need-blind, right?
@EvenfallsWolf I didn’t do anything through IDOC. I only used the CSS Profile and faxed the other stuff in.
@jennifermouse Ah, but Hopkins still sent a request. I have no idea how the forms work now XD
I’m pretty sure Hopkins is need blind for domestic students.
@Rojahne Same here. I’ve checked the website and JHU requires tax forms submission through IDOC. However, CollegeBoards says IDOC won’t be open until February.
CB: "Before IDOC Processing Begins - If the student submits a PROFILE application between PROFILE start-up and IDOC start-up (approximately October 1 to February 1), he will receive a message on his PROFILE Acknowledgment and submission email that tells him which colleges will be requesting information via IDOC and that the College Board will send an IDOC notification in early February. "
Now I’m confused.
@HuangoBango Did you submit FAFSA as well? When did the request come and did you fax the documents?
They asked for CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE and signed copies of 2014 Federal Income Tax Returns (1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) including all schedules and W-2 forms

@EvenfallsWolf Yeah they sent a request through email lol. I’m guessing IDOC is something you worry about after you find out if you got in or not.
@jennifermouse OK, not so worried now JHU probably can estimate amount according to CSS.
No I didn’t use FASFA Only CSS. My counselor told me CSS was fine for private schools
@HuangoBango Now I’m confused again. So why do some of us have to submit tax forms and others don’t?
I submitted css and jhu asked for more info (1040, w2, etc)
I remember when I submitted my css it told me for a few of the schools I was sending it to that those schools also had other requirements such as official tax return forms
I submitted my CSS Profile only. I didn’t get an email from JHU asking for it either. Now im worried…
I hope me not having submitted the signed 1040/schedules/w2 forms won’t affect their estimate. Do you think it would? @EvenfallsWolf @jennifermouse @HuangoBango
@Rojahne and @Krishna98 I would not be worried about only submitting the CSS Profile up to this point. The Profile has everything necessary to provide an estimate. Also, just because some received emails for tax returns/W-2’s and some didn’t doesn’t mean anything since the Financial Aid dept is different than admissions.
@northstarfx yeah I guess you’re right lol, I need to stop worrying after every little thing!
guys there’s like 5 days til decisions, don’t stress over these things ! It’s just going to weigh unnecessarily on your mind especially when there’s nothing you can do about it (I mean I’m assuming since decisions have probably already been made).
Friday’s almost here, we got this!
Five. Days. Bam. Let’s gooooo! Wishing much hope and good fortune to all of my fellow applicants =D>
@Rojahne I don’t think it will hurt.
@northstarfx @Krishna98 Nothing from JHU right now. Hopefully it doesn’t add up to anything.
It’s literally constantly on my mind
Same here haha
