Johns Hopkins University Early Decision Forum 2015

I cannot concentrate at all

Who here has been around Baltimore? Isn’t it so beautiful!

@Rojahne love it in the fall. The little rows of townhouses near AVAM are gorgeous.

That is what I was trying to say I just seem to be having difficulty englishing as of late @HuangoBango

gotta get in boys

@p3y7on haha it’s all good
It makes sense but I feel the hush hush side is that the admission offices don’t have to use financial aid as leverage to get students since we’re already committed

that would make sense but I am going to choose to believe in the good of the university system and hope that they would see that as wildly unethical. @HuangoBango At least I really really (really) hope so because I need a good chunk of financial aid in order to even consider being able to attend such a lovely institution

@p3y7on hoping for 1/3 to 1/2 coverage if I get in.

I did the math, tuition wise I will be able to swing up to $20,000 per year (maybe) but its really a pipe dream. and thats even IF I get accepted @HuangoBango

“IF” has become my new enemy lol

I kind of wish that this had happend earlier or later or something because it is really difficult to get into the holiday spirit when you are so nervous about admissions

That is a pretty accurate depiction @HuangoBango the worst part is that because it is so uncommon for people at my school to even apply to such a prestigious school everybody knows that I applied and that I am waiting for my decision and as crazy at is I am so worried that I am going to have to answer all the questions with a “no it didnt happen” and it is just going to be horibble

True. I’m pretty sure jhu finished apps at least a week ago ( They probably extend the time in case something happens and delay the results)

I’m kind of in the boat of I don’t know which would be worse: getting rejected or getting accepted and then not getting enough financial aid

I prefer acceptance and not enough aid bc I try my luck in external/private scholarships (Loans are okay too haha…)

I’m trying my luck I’m hopeful

@p3y7on I’m on the same page! I really hope we get a decent chunk of aid if we get in fingers crossed

@GuitarANDMee where in CA are you from?

They meet 100% of your families need. Unless applying with a different application would somehow cause your family to acquire huge amounts of money (lol) it won’t change your package. No worries

@p3y7on I know! Everyone in all my classes keep asking me to let them know the second decisions are released and im so scared I’ll have to tell everyone I didn’t get in
