Johns Hopkins University ED chances?!? Will chance back!

After recently visiting jhu, I liked it so much so that I'm willing to apply early decision . Don't mind my grammar please; I'm typing this on my phone.

Intended major: I haven't decided if I want to apply yet, but I'm lean towards business/economics. Does anyone know how strict jhu is about switching majors?

I also plan on applying to BC (2nd choice), NYU, Elon, Fordham, UVA, UNC Chapel Hill(

Its a reach, I would EA to BC if I was you. The reason why is because you’re very very likely to get into BC EA. BC RD is much less likely. You may end up rejected from JHU and BC.

You dont stand out as a candidate…

Also, JHU promotes switching majors actually.

Interesting, okay.

Just better your SAT and apply RD to Jhu

SAT I scores too low for JHU. You would be rejected. Agree with others. Improve your SAT I scores (esp CR) and apply.

SAT scores are low, GPA is good, ECs are good but nothing really stands out on your application

REJECT for sure

^that was douchey @tryhardalay‌ Its not a gaurenteed reject. Its just a reach

What if I just sent in a 32 ACT composite instead? (All I need is a 30 on sci and I’ve been getting above on practices) should I just leave out the SAT altogether even though I received a 750 in math? @sgopal2 @APsooof‌ @drewrylane‌ @obinna2222‌

@tryhardalay thanks bae

@tryhardalay Seriously… what is wrong with you!?

I honestly think with a good essay, its not a bad shot (still a reach, but hey it could happen). GPA is great, Class rigor with IB seems good. With a bit of luck and timing you can certainly not be a “REJECT for sure” Chance me back?

What’s wrong with you. Why don’t you learn to face reality!!! @sallymeno11‌

@godllub‌ hey dude! I’m not trying to be mean… But your chances are very low. Hopkins is on the top ten schools for a reason. You need to work on improving those standardized test scores a LOT!

Do not take Math 1 & 2, take one or the other.

@tryhardalay‌ Why don’t you learn to be sensitive and HELPFUL instead of discouraging and rude?

That’s how a Harvard college admission officer treated me. @sallymeno11‌ I have always wanted to get into Harvard from a young age. But mostly, since I’m an immigrant I wanted to prove to my family I can do it and I want to repay them in this way by getting intoHarvard. However, when I told that officer about my current stats he said I could never get in. No matter how much I tried. That devastated me and left me heartbroken. So I learned to face reality and you should too

@tryhardalay‌ Really? Yeah… they definitely told you that you had no chance with a 2350 SAT.

Take a look @ Harvard’s middle 50% of SAT scores, and quit complaining.
