Johns Hopkins University Fall 2022 Transfer Thread

Hello everyone, I did not see a thread for transfers to JHU this year, so I thought I’d create one. AFAIK decisions will be posted on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 3 PM EDT.

Woo only a few weeks left until decisions are out. Damn this thread is dry compared to previous years

Ok quick question Jhu emailed me more info on my financial aid, extra information from what was usually asked. No other schools asked these questions both from the ones I was accepted and rejected from. Is this a good sign🥹

Is everything in your financial aid tab already marked as received?

Yes, they received everything. Basically the context is my parents had a business that was shown in the 2020 financial aid when I applied for it, but it got shut down during Covid time in 2021 and they wanted the timestamp basically the 2021 version of that business if it’s still open. So that’s why I’m like oh is this a good sign for me. No other school asked to know whether the business is still open a year later. They asked for our 2020 financial aid, but they specifically added for me a 2021 version off just the business a few weeks after I submitted everything for 2020. Like why would they care if they are going to reject me.

decisions are out. no email, just check your portals

My son may apply to transfer next year. I’d love to know any details about your son (that you would feel comfortable sharing0 that you think led to his acceptance.

I’m guessing his letters of recommendation from his college professors and his congressional internship this spring. He is a political science major and I know they really look for their commitment to field of study. He was also high school IB full diploma candidate. He did not apply to Johns Hopkins coming out of high school, as we are west coast and it was not on his radar.

Thanks!
