Well in regards to not being able to afford it JHU has great financial aid and because of it’s smaller school size and larger endowment, they are able to provide for their applicant’s needs. If you’d like an estimate on how much need based aid you can get go here: [JHU Possible Aid Estimator](<a href=“Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University”>Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University) There you will find a worksheet that will basically calculate how much they will give you in need. Too be fair JHU and OU are not exactly the same stature of school. I’m sure you will be able to find a lot of higher paying job opportunities coming out of JHU than you would OU so the degree might pay for itself.

Now in regards to whether of not you’ll get in. Try. You never know. And even then don’t let it be just JHU or OU. You should have at least 5 schools you apply to. And OU can easily be your safety. There are many more affordable schools around the country that have Biomed Eng programs that outrank OU and can give you great scholarships and fin aid. Like the University of Wash and CSWR. Check to see what other schools are there. Don’t settle for a school because it’s cheap.
