Johns Hopkins University

I'm applying to several universities, but JHU is probably my top pick. I'll make the list concise. Thanks in advance for all your help.

GPA: Unweighted: 3.97 (we don't rank, but I'm guessing that's like top 5 percent)

Advanced courses: 7 APs (Spanish Lang, Eng Lang, Calc AB, Us History, Bio, Engl Lit and Calc BC)
(this is actually a lot considering that my school offers limited APs)
2 honors ( Chemistry, Physics)

4 college courses (taken during summer): (econ, gov, engl 1B and Human Biology)

EC: (just the major ones) Project Coordinator for: California Scholarship Federation, Key Club; Senior class Rep for National Honors Society; Biology Chair for Science Club; Impromptu (speech event) chair for Speech and Debate; and Editor-in-Chief of newspaper

Test scores: (2100 (800 math; 640 crit read, 660 verbal) for SAT; I'll find out new (hopefully better) SAT score on Monday; ACT score: 32 (re-taking tomorrow, wish me luck :) )

So please give your honest opinion concerning my chances for JHU. Once again, your comments are much appreciated.

54 views and no reply? Won't someone please take a minute or two to help decide my future? Pretty please with a cherry on top. :)

Are you an under repersented minority or first-generation or anything like that?
Are you from an over rpersented group (white or asian)
Which state are you from... California? Which part?
What is your gender?
What do you get on your SAT IIs?

You have a decent chance. Your scores in verbal and writing could hurt you but with decent essays you have a fair chance at getting in.

To answer your questions: I'm an Indian male from California. I'm taking my SAT IIs (Bio E/M and Math IIC) in november (from practice tests, I get above 750 in both)

I improved a lot on both writing and crit reading, so my score should go up and I'm also taking ACT again, so hopefully that score will go up as well.

If you need any more info, just post. Once again, all input is much appreciated.

i'd say you have chance as anyone else would... :) good luck, are you goin going for ed?
