This is Dom who is interested in Political Communication, I am applying the JHU AAP on Master in Communication, however, a lot of websites reveal that it is not worth to waste money to enrol or it is a continuing study. I am currently a journalism student in HK, I am interested in Communication study and have the intention to apply PhD in Communication. I called JHU, they told me it is a normal master degree, also supply research and professional training. Would anybody introduce whether it is a good way to prepare the PhD or whether it is worth to study in JHU AAP? Or introduce this program a little bit. Thanks
If you plan to do a PhD, skip the Master’s program. Apply directly to PhD programs. They are usually funded (you don’t have to pay tuition and earn a small salary to live on) and more prestigious than Master’s programs, considered “cash cows” (money makers) for universities.
Thanks for your reply, in terms of the communication study, some of school need master degree to apply, so that I am planing to read master first. However, how is the JHU AAP? Do U have any ideas? Thx
