Johns Hopkins vs. Northwestern

Which school is better for undegrad in Computer Science and Physics? And engineering overall?

Neither one is clearly better than the other “overall”. They have specific strengths and weaknesses (as all colleges do.) Apply to both and see which one admits you with a lower net cost.

If you are determined to parse out differences in individual department strengths, try browsing the course catalogs and faculty bios. You also can look at the US News or NRC/Chronicle graduate level department rankings. US News ranks undergraduate engineering programs, but you have to pay a fee to see past the top 10 (which does not include either school).

both are really expensive but one might give you more aid than the other. On the other hand, almost any school with the majors will serve for CS/physics/engineering majors. Don’t spend a lot of money. Employers/Grad schools won’t care much about where you went as much as what you did when you were there.
