Hey, if I were to get a Mechanical Engineering with a Senior Professor at Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering, would that boost my chances at specifically Hopkins? What about if I get a letter of recommendation from that professor (he's my friends' dad, so I'm set btw)?

I'm not legitimately freaking out or anything, since my school has a 95% acceptance rate to JHU ED over the last decade from 60 applicants (100 people per grade), and an ~80% overall rate (including kids with GPAs less than 90 weighted and less than 1400/1600 SAT...we have 3 kids every year get into JHU BME, no one's ever gotten rejected), but I've lived in JHU's shadow for the last decade, since moving to America. Its been my #1 school, over Princeton, UPenn, Columbia, and MIT for the last few years; I want to do everything I can to get in.
