Nonfinalist letter in Virginia. It said the pool was one of the most highly competitive (although I’m sure they always say that) with 2300+ applications I believe.
My friend got it, she has seriously amazing leadership positions, e.c.'s, and grades. Competition will be FIERCE! Good luck everyone!

I’m wasn’t really expecting to be considered for the scholarship but I guess since I haven’t received any letter yet I’m out of the running. Congrats to those who have already found out, I’ll just be waiting on acceptance on April 1st I guess.

Golfdude, my main stats were:

SAT: 2360 (CR 800; M 760 [i know, i know, but i got a nosebleed in the middle so i only had 8 minutes for a section and i missed one], W 800)
Rank: 1/~500
Rec’s: Amazing I hope
EC’s: Really good
Essay: it was early so it wasn’t my best version, but as long as it worked…

no letter yet, i’m in SoCal

Hi atomicapple

I’m from SoCal too. Hopefully the letter comes tomorrow. I was anticipating for my letter to come today but was disappointed once I checked my mail.

redguard, your SAT scores are definitely nothing to be ashamed about. Looking at your stats, I dont’ know how I got it with a 2190 :(

Those are both amazingly great scores that many people would kill for. Please don’t start ■■■■■■■■.

Hi, everyone!
I am an international student and expect to receive a letter, too. However, it usually takes approximately 3 weeks to receive a letter from the US. That’s why, I would like to ask you whether there is another way to understand whether I am a finalist (on the W&L’s website, for example).
Thank you in advance and congratulations to all finalists!

[Time to stalk the mailman! W&L Admissions](http://wluadmissions.com/2011/01/21/time-to-stalk-the-mailman/)

Read the comments below the article. International students receive an e-mail as well as a letter. Good luck!

Thanks a lot!
Are there any other international students waiting? Has anybody already received an email?

Just got an e-mail! Not accepted to the Johnson- waiting for the ED II decision.

lesigh still no letter here. congrats to everyone who was accepted!

not accepted to Johnson scholarship. International student from china

No Johnson for me. Holding out to hear about EDII in the next week or so!

atomicapple, I didn’t get a letter either. I’m only about 15 miles from a large city in the Midwest. Weird. I just at least need some confirmation of my nonfinalism.

Daughter just got the letter today that she is a finalist! So have hope…we live in the Midwest, so letter just took a long time to get here. So excited!!!

My financial aid application online changed from “No Record Found” to “Financial Aid Information will be available February 10th.”

…I applied EDII. Is this a sign of any sort or did they just put this up for everyone? I tend to twist things, so I’m hoping it means they’ve processed my information, which they don’t do until after I’m accepted (knock on wood)… which would mean I got in.

Once again, very wishful thinking. But I can dream, right? I guess I’ll know in a few days!

nonfinalist :[

Still no letter :(
