Is it okay if we find X school's Class of 2016 facebook group and join it before we decide for sure we are attending? This might be a silly question, but I just want to have proper etiquette.

The correct thing to do would be to join after deciding that I am attending at school X, but it is still okay to join if you are still considering school X. It actually might be beneficial to know what kind of students school X accepts, and who you might spend the next 4 years with before committing to school X.

I think it’s fine to help learn more about that school and other prospective admitted students to see if you’re certain you will attend.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. It gives you a sense of what kind of people would be attending school with you, and you can ask the admins questions.

Yes do it and see if you like/hate the people and culture

There’s nothing wrong with it. Like all of the previous comments, I think it’s a good way to ask questions and talk to your potential classmates before actually committing to the school. I’m in a few “Class of 2016” groups myself.
