So I have kind of a weird question.

I've taken CC classes since 10th grade, and I'm now a senior in high school. At the college, I am considered a "special admit." I'm not dual-enrolled. Basically, I can take whatever classes I want as long as I meet the pre-requisites. They see me as a regular student, and none of the grades go on my high school transcript.

I just got a letter today inviting me to join Phi Theta Kappa. This will obviously be my last year at the CC because I'll be going to a university next year. Would this give me a boost on my college applications at all? I don't think I'll be considered an actual member until next semester, after I've already applied to colleges. So should I mention that I've been nominated or anything? Should I join it for just a semester? I'm going to their open house for it October 1st to ask the instructors there what they think, but I'm not really sure if this should go on my apps or not or if I should join at all. Also, I saw that different universities give out scholarships for members, but I have no idea if that would apply to me or not since I wont be a transfer student, plus I'll only be in it for a semester.

And while I'm at it, I had a professor nominate me after my first semester at the community college to join the college's honors program. I couldn't do it because I didn't meet the minimum number of credits per semester, but will it mean anything to colleges that the professor nominated me for it?

And I apologize if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't quite sure where to put it. Any help is appreciated :)
