Joining a fraternity

Hi, I currently attend a private high school which sends the majority of its graduates to Texas A&M. As I am going to pledge a fraternity, I was wondering how I should go about meeting the frats etc since none of my upperclassman friends attended UT.

Be as big of a ****** as possible. They’ll accept you in a heart beat.

I know a lot of people dislike fraternities, but please give me serious answers only.

google it…

There are a number of threads about this, which should be of great help. But the biggest way is to attend Round Up around the end of March and begin meeting the people down here.

go to rush…

if you don’t have connections you likely won’t get into the most prestigious fraternities unless you are really funny or cool or something but somewhere will undoubtedly accept you…

…it may just not be the one you wanted

I think it’s a good idea. Just find one that you think is good for you. There are some that very typical and some that are not at all and everything in between.

Here are some links to the fraternites’ websites. A lot of them have a place where you can send them your email address/phone # and they will email/text you about rush parties and events coming up. I recommend you try to give yourself plenty of time (over the summer) to figure out where your “fit” is because one week of rush after school starts isn’t enough (in my opinion!) Also try to go to Round-up as mentioned above.
