Joining a political party helps admission?

<p>Would joining a national political party at the age of 18 look good or bad on my applicaton for college (im interested in international relations)</p>

<p>I don’t want to answer this question directly. What worries me is that everyone is asking, “Will doing so-and-so look good?” I mean, if I said No, does that mean that you won’t do it? I want you to do whatever activities you’re interested in.</p>

<p>It’s certainly not good or bad.
The admission office wants to know what kind of person you are. They are not looking for what politic party you belong to.
However, it could be a plus, if you have been actively volunteer in the group and get acquainted with many friend. And it’s also sort of a life experience which would broaden your mind.</p>
