I'm a Junior and I have been occupying the idea of playing football next year. I am 6'5 and 230 and would definitely be playing offensive line. I played all throughout high school and without being narcissistic, I was quite good. Freshman year i decided to take a break from the sport. Now I am a good students with a weighted GPA of 4.33 and strong test scores and EC's. I hope to be admitted to schools like: USC, Berkely, Rice, and other schools of a similar level. Next year I will be taking AP Calc BC, AP Lit, AP Spanish, AP macro, and honors physics and all of those classess will be reasonably challenging. If I joined I would start O-line (lack of large yet athletic kids at school) and I imagine I would do quite well. I'm not sure if the time involved with football is worth it. School starts at 7AM and I would be getting home at ~7:30PM. I am concerned that these time constraints plus the workload associated with 5 advanced classes and going through the application process might be a bit to strenuous. I have weighed the pros and cons in my head and am at a stand still. I would love some outside input. Thanks in advance

7:30???!!?.!!

Dude, it’s your senior year, have fun with it.

I’m joining track my junior year next year. I’m not a particularly good runner, and I don’t even think it’s going to be worth putting on an app. But I’m doing it because it would be fun and all my friends are doing it. Just go for it.
