I'm starting my last year of community college at Berkeley City College, which to my knowledge doesn't really have a vibrant club life. I'm also hoping to transfer to Cal next fall. Because of that, I'm interested in joining one of the student clubs (like forensics or MUN) over at Cal for next year, before I'm actually a Cal student. I've heard that some clubs at Cal have "community members", and I know BCC and Cal often work closely together, so I was wondering if this would be possible and how I would go about it. Also, is there an Associated Students dept. (or something similar) that I can talk to?

why not talk to said clubs themselves. contact them and see what’s up.

Most clubs don’t actually check if you are a student or not. Just go to meetings and use a gmail account when they ask for an email.

I agree, nobody will ask. Also, I know a girl in a club I’m in (a Christian fellowship) attends even though she goes to college in Oakland. It’s not a big deal
I think the only clubs that would require you to be a Cal student are clubs like MCBcDNA or MCBUSA or things like that since…well…it’d be weird to be in that club if you’re not that major right?
But the clubs you seem like you wanna join, it probably wouldn’t matter.
