Hello I’am an engineering science student at Suffolk County Community College and I’ve been in the joint admissions program for the last year and I have a question about the requirements. The letter I received in the mail stated that the requirements were at least a C in all of my classes and a GPA above 3.0 and that hasn’t been a problem for me. My GPA right now is a 3.5 and have gotten A or B+s in my classes so far but when I checked the website on joint admissions and it looked like the requirements have been updated and now I need at least a B in all major related classes including physics. I am confident I am going to receive at least a B in my PHY101 class but I but I’m probably going to get a C in my physics 1 lab class. I have A’s and B’s in all of my other classes so I was wondering if having a C in my physics lab would disqualify me from being eligible for the joint admissions program.
Yes it would, sadly it even says on the website you cant even retake any of the courses required for a better grade. Thats why most people dont do the joint admissions because its a gamble for 2 years. If you mess up just one class your chances are really low.
