Joseph Wharton Scholars

I got into wharton ED. I was wondering what the deal is with the honor programs at wharton. Anyone here know how much of an extra load it puts on students who’re in it and what kind of opportunities they get in exchange? (ie: would it make a double major really really difficult?) There’s nothing we can do to get in now as I understand; you are selected specifically without any control over it in the admissions process. I don’t think i’ll be considered but I’d consider applying for it when I get there.

wait...did they already selected the joseph wharton scholars? or will we find out later in the year?

---------bump--------

i'm not sure, that's why i'm asking. If they haven't selected them yet i wonder if we could submit a supp essay to our file for consideration...

JWS Scholars are selected/notified in spring. If not selected then, I believe you can apply at the end of your freshman year. It's not really extra work--you pretty much end up taking classes that you would need to normally, except instead you're in the honors section. Also, Finance 103 (the class all JWS freshman take first semester) waives you out of both Econ 001 and 002, as it combines both of them into one semester...
