<p>Is anybody on CC aware of any scholarships for those who have done journalism in their HS careers or plan on studying the subject in college?</p>

<p>Do you have a geographical preference or any other school preferences?</p>
<p>What state are you in? Have you looked at any in-state schools?</p>
<p>Here are my stats: 35 ACT composite, 2130 SAT (790CR, 680M, 660W), 3.91 GPA, National Merit Semifinalist. Extracurriculars are 4 years of HS basketball (varsity last year and this year), Science Bowl in grades 9-10 (team was 3rd place in state in sophomore year) and newspaper from grades 6-12 (assistant in junior year, sports editor last two years). I live in New Mexico, but am not in need of any money to go there because I can get their National Merit or Hispanic scholarship, which covers everything. I would like to go somewhere where I can be removed from Albuquerque but still close enough that I can drive home on the weekend should I feel the need, but I am considering schools that are very far away as well, such as American and UNC-Chapel Hill. Other top choices are Emerson, Mizzou and USC.</p>
