<p>IU’s School of Journalism is typically rated in the top ten in the country. It does not break the degree down into specific fields. The core courses are the same for everyone. Upper level courses can be more specialized. One is also required to have a second concentration outside of the School of Journalism. Someone interested in broadcast journalism would probably get that second concentration in telecommunications.</p>
<p>There haven’t been any recent rankings of journalism schools. The last time USNW ranked them was in 1996 and the last time Gourman ranked them was in 1998. At those times, IU-B ranked 5th on USNW’s list and 12th on Gourman’s list.</p>
