Journalism Undergraduate Schools

I'm looking in majoring in Journalism (Broadcast Journalism)...

this is my list so far, trying to stay on east coast...

American U
Boston U
ECU
Ithaca
Marist
North Eastern
UNC Chapel Hill
Seton Hall
Oswego
Syracuse
UCONN

If you guys have any comments on these journalism programs, or have a school to reccomend...that would be wonderful, thanks guys

University of Maryland College Park has a very good J school. My son is a freshman there.

Of the schools you have listed, Syracuse has without a doubt the strongest journalism program. Syracuse's Newhouse School is one of the top 3 J-schools in the nation.

UNC-CH also has a strong journalism program.

ECU...east carolina!!!???

nah...take that off and add Mizzou, the #1 Public J-School in the U.S.

also, UGA has one of the top public in the country.

Top 3 J-Schools in the country overall:
Columbia
Northwestern
Mizzou

Consider Ohio University's EW Scripps School of Journalism. They have a whole building dedicated to just radio and television with a new state of the art facility.

Northeastern in Boston comes to mind as a well-respected journalism program, and Northeastern generally has really good job placement
EDIT: I guess it was in your first post after all, I just missed it because it was 2 words.

^^^

I would say that Syracuse has a better undergraduate journalism program than Columbia, hands down.

^^ Besides, Columbia's journalism program is graduate-level only.
