<p>I'm doing the JSA summer prog this summer....has anyone here ever done this before? is this an impressive program to colleges?</p>

<p>kind of depends on the schools you're aiming for but...</p>
<p>i dont know if it'll give you a huge advantage over anyone in particular, but it does show them you spent a summer enlightening yourself instead of loafing around. i don't know if its looked upon as better than someone who just worked a full-time job or did a lot of volunteer work. My friend did the one at Stanford while i was at the normal stanford summer college, and he thinks i may have learned more since i just took US foreign policy as a course, but as far as prestige, they're probably equiv.</p>
