My first post! My son (incoming senior) wants to major in Mechanical Engineering. Overall, he has a very ambitious list of schools that he is planning to apply to:

MIT, Stanford, Cornell, Brown, Rice, UCBerkeley, UCLA, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Purdue, UCSanta Barbara, Cal Poly SLO, and Santa Clara.

He is a full IB student with an overall GPA of 4.65. His SAT scores on his one and only SAT test was 2220-- Math-800, Writing-760, and Reading-660. He got an 800 on the math subject test. He got a 32 on his one and only ACT test. He is in mock trial, played tennis, and volunteered about 75 hours to date with one organization. He is also an Eagle scout.

With the exception of USC, UCSanta Barbara, Cal Poly, and Santa Clara, what are his chances of getting into these other schools?

Thank you so much for your answers!
