<p>My daughter's mentor suggested that she participate in this competition since she was selected as a semifinalist in the Siemens competition. But is it really worth doing especially since she is at a crunch time with colleges. How's the process work? Does she have to win the regional symposium to qualify for the national? And are the results of the national competition before April? Obviously it would be nice if this could help her with colleges</p>
